Trip overview
You will start your trip with a 2-day stay in Amboseli National Park, which is famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as its abundant wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and zebras. You can spend your days on game drives, exploring the park’s various ecosystems and landscapes, and taking in the spectacular views of the mountain.
From Amboseli, you’ll head to Tsavo West National Park, which is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, and crocodiles. Here, you can go on game drives, visit the famous Mzima Springs, which is home to hippos and crocodiles, and explore the park’s volcanic landscapes, including the Chyulu Hills and the Shetani Lava Flows.
Your next stop is Tsavo East National Park, which is the largest national park in Kenya and is known for its vast herds of elephants, as well as its diverse birdlife. You can go on game drives to see the park’s wildlife, explore the Yatta Plateau, which is one of the world’s longest lava flows, and visit the Lugard Falls, which is a series of rapids and waterfalls on the Galana River.
Finally, you’ll end your trip with a 4-day stay in Hemingways Watamu, a beautiful beach resort town on the shore of the Indian Ocean. Here, you can relax on the beach, go snorkeling or scuba diving to see the coral reefs and marine life, and take in the local culture and cuisine. Hemingways Watamu is also home to the Watamu Marine National Park, which is a protected area that is home to sea turtles, dolphins, and other marine life.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay at Eka Hotel Nairobi.
Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Check-in at Kibo Safari Camp for 2 nights. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon in search of the wildlife. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, which is an excellent time to spot predators such as lions and leopards. Return to Kibo Safari Camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing at the camp, perhaps taking a swim in the pool or enjoying the views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After lunch, venture out on another game drive, this time exploring different areas of the park and searching for wildlife you may not have seen the day before. Return to Kibo Safari Camp in the evening for dinner and another night of relaxation.
Day 4: Amboseli National Park - Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park. Check-in at Severin Safari Camp for 2 nights. Afternoon game drive to explore the park. Return to the Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive in the park with packed lunch, visit Mzima Springs, Shetani Lava Flows, and the Rhino Sanctuary.
Day 6: Tsavo West National Park to Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tsavo East National Park. Arrive at your lodge/camp in the Park and check-in at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. Enjoy lunch at your lodge/camp and spend the afternoon relaxing, perhaps taking a swim in the pool or going on a guided walk around the camp to learn about the local flora and fauna. In the evening, head out for a sunset game drive, which is a great time to spot predators such as lions and hyenas. Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and a night.
Day 7: Full Day Tsavo East National Park Safari
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, which is an excellent time to spot predators such as lions and cheetahs. Return to your lodge/camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing at the lodge/camp, perhaps taking a swim in the pool or enjoying the views of the park. After lunch, venture out on another game drive, exploring different areas of the park and looking for wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and more. Return to your lodge/camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Full Day Tsavo East National Park Safari
Wake up early for a morning game drive, exploring new areas of the park and looking for wildlife you may not have seen earlier in your stay. Return to your lodge/camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning relaxing at the lodge/camp, perhaps taking a swim in the pool or enjoying the views of the park. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive, perhaps focusing on areas of the park where you have not yet explored. Return to your lodge/camp in the evening for dinner and a night of relaxation
Day 9: Tsavo East National Park to Malindi
Depart Tsavo East National Park in the morning after breakfast. Drive to Hemingways Watamu, which is approximately a 4-hour drive. Arrive at Hemingways Watamu in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the resort, exploring the beach or enjoying the various activities available at the resort. Enjoy dinner at the resort's restaurant. Overnight stay
Day 10: Watamu Marine National Park and Reserve
After breakfast, depart for Watamu Marine National Park and Reserve. Go snorkeling or diving to explore the colorful marine life. Visit the Gede Ruins, an ancient Swahili settlement. Return to the hotel for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or participating in resort activities. Enjoy dinner at the resort's restaurant. Overnight stay
Day 11: Deep sea fishing or cultural tour
After breakfast, you will have optional activities to do.
Option 1: Depart early in the morning for a deep sea fishing trip. Spend the day fishing for marlin, sailfish, and other big game fish.
Option 2: Take a cultural tour to learn more about the local culture and traditions. Visit a nearby village and meet with the locals.
Return to the resort for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or participating in resort activities.
Enjoy dinner at one of the resort's restaurant. Overnight
Day 12: Mida Creek and Arabuko-Sokoke Forest
After breakfast, depart for Mida Creek. Take a boat ride on the creek and observe the diverse birdlife, including flamingos, kingfishers, and herons. Visit the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, a pristine coastal forest with a variety of flora and fauna. Return to the resort for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing or participating in resort activities. Enjoy dinner at the resort's restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Departure
After breakfast, check out of the resort and head to Mombasa for a flight back home at Moi International Airport.
