Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most famous and popular wildlife reserves in Africa. Located in southwest Kenya, the reserve covers an area of over 1,500 square kilometers and is part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem that extends into Tanzania.

The reserve is named after the Maasai people who inhabit the area and the Mara River that runs through it. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and many more. The annual wildebeest migration from the Serengeti to the Mara is one of the most spectacular wildlife events on earth and attracts thousands of visitors every year. Game drives are the main activity in Masai Mara, and they can be done either in the morning, afternoon or full-day depending on the preferences of the visitors. The vehicles used are 4×4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs for optimal game viewing and photography. Other activities in the reserve include hot air balloon safaris and cultural visits to Maasai villages

Day1:Nairobi - Masai Mara

Early morning pick up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Stop at the escarpment for photo viewing and proceed. Arrive at the lodge/camp and check-in. Lunch at the lodge/camp. Embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay Accomodation:Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

Early morning game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. Full day game drive with a picnic lunch in the reserve. Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay. Optional balloon safari/visit to a Maasai village (extra cost). Accomodation:Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 3: Masai Mara - Nairobi

Breakfast at the lodge/camp. Check out and do a game drive enroute to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi and drop off at your hotel.
